Seri-Art Srl
Founded in 1992, SERI.ART. specializes in metal fabrication and screen printing, manufacturing its entire product range in-house. Dynamic and market-driven, the company has expanded over the years through innovation and collaborative partnerships, distinguishing itself for its reliability, technical expertise, and commitment to sustainability.
The Challenge
Seri-Art S.r.l., a specialist in industrial digital and screen printing, needed to overcome the limitations of its legacy management system, which failed to provide actual visibility into material movements, inventory levels, and inter-departmental alignment.
The absence of a unified information workflow forced the company to rely on the individual experience of its operators, thereby increasing the risk of inventory inaccuracies, delivery delays, and difficulties in updating stock levels within the ERP.
The objective was to achieve a unified digital map of the facility, featuring comprehensive traceability and real-time inventory updates, in order to align production, warehousing, and the ERP system, ultimately enhancing overall operational efficiency.
What Industrial Cloud's Implemented
Seri-Art S.r.l. implemented the Agile Factory MES with an integrated WMS connected to the ERP, achieving a complete digital transformation of the facility. All departments and material movements were integrated, creating a unified information workflow that allows for the real-time tracking of materials and semi-finished goods.
The system enables continuous monitoring of order progress, inventory levels, and consumption, thereby reducing inventory errors and data retrieval times. Every phase, from the receipt of raw materials to the shipment of the finished product, is digitally recorded and associated with actual quantities and scrap rates, allowing for comprehensive management of line-side “supermarkets” and warehouse movements.
Through the integration of MES and WMS, Seri-Art obtained a single digital map of the facility, where production, logistics, and planning operate on the same data simultaneously. The result is a closed-loop system in which times, materials, and orders remain constantly aligned, delivering a tangible impact on productivity and operational efficiency.
Today, Seri-Art relies on comprehensive traceability, immediate inventory visibility, and updated ERP data, mitigating inefficiencies and operationalizing the production plan. This digital transformation combines efficiency, transparency, and reliability, translating data into operational decisions.
